I can't believe it's almost June...

So today I looked at my phone and realized the date was May 24th, really is it almost June?

That means it's only about a month until my birthday, and about 2 and a half months until my program is over and I move back to Utah :(

Time please don't fly by anymore.

Thanks,

Love Melissa

For all the ways you've helped me grow I want to say I love you so

I love you Mom!!

My wonderful mother, and my aunt Brenda came to visit me,
and other than being with my mom for a couple days this was my highlight:

We went on a beach adventure!
My mom and aunt Brenda LOVE the beach and I had been dying to go to the beach for awhile, especially with my new camera.

It was a nice warm day and the beach was almost empty and it was so pretty! I loved it!

Here are some of my favorite shots:

Sailboat

Sand

Seashells

It was so good to see my mom again, I love her so much and have really missed here! The only downside about being here is that it's so far away from home.

I love you mom!!

Mac & cheese, and octopus dogs!

Lately I have been craving Mac & Cheese and thats the only thing I want to eat for dinner, lucky for me it's filling and cheap! Well Rob told me about his favorite mac & cheese which is the Kraft Deluxe kind, with a cheese sauce instead of the powder kind and he bought me some to try.
So I was making it for my dinner and decided to put some hot dogs in my mac & cheese like my dad always did when I was a kid, when Janell asked me if I was going to make some octopus dogs. This surprised me cause I have never heard of such a thing, well Janell taught me how to make them and well let me just tell you I was just giddy like a little kid to eat my mound of mac & cheese with my octopus dogs!
Best dinner ever.
P.s. don't mind my beach bum hair, this amazing event wasn't planned and I was so excited I didn't realize I just got out of the shower and looked like a wreck, hope the amazing octopus dogs make up for my bad appearance.

...

CUTEST BOY EVER.
The End.

A quick visit home...

I had a quick last minute trip home so I could say my last good byes to my wonderful Grandma Mills in case she doesn't make it until I come home. I was only home for about a day and a half but I got all I wanted done in that short amount of time.
Here are some things I have missed...
My kitty (who isn't quite a kitty anymore) Mo
The majestic mountains
Playing with my favorite kids in the world!
But I DIDN'T miss the snow...
It felt so good to go visit home and be back in Utah again, seeing all my family and friends and all the of beautiful Utah. But I was excited to get back to California back to my new life that I have started here cause I'm not done with my story here, not yet anyways.
