Disney College Program :)

About two weeks ago I applied and had a phone interview and felt that it went really good about it and on Thursday they called me while I was at work thankfully I was able to answer my phone because they told me I was accepted!!! I am so super excited! I will be living in California from the first of January till the first of August, going to Disney College, and working in Disneyland! I'm going to be a PhotoPass person for my job in Disneyland :) I'm so excited!

I can't believe that in 3 months I will be leaving for 7 months to be all on my own living 2 states away!

Some Cons I'm not looking forward to...

Missing out on 7 months of my nephews and nieces lives

Making new friends and memories

Having my birthday in the happiest place on earth :)

Well I will keep you all updated on my Disney College Program stuff as I find out!

Dance In The Rain

Just a little video I made when I was bored one day and noticed how green everything was!

If you want a rainbow, you have to put up with the rain!

So Friday it was the perfect rain weather so I went outside just to enjoy it and I took some of these pics in our front yard that I thought looked pretty cool

I swear it has been raining so much the past 2 weeks! But look how nice and green it makes everything! But I really wouldn't mind some warm sun shiny days! I mean it's basically the middle of June already!

Also Friday was the amazing Kelly Clarkson Concert! Yep :)

It was awesome we bought tickets forever ago and it was so much fun! Even though it did rain and we were out in a baseball feild, it was really fun! Also there was a BEAUTIFUL rainbow for a long time over the stage! It was awesome! Here are a few pics

Yep it was fun! I love California so much! And especially Disneyland! I'm applying to go to their college program at Disneyland actually for the spring :) I'm super excited! Ok well thats it! Love you all!

My Summer Project

So back in January I applied to be a counselor at Brighton Girls Camp (Mormon girls camp for girls 11-12 years old). And I had an interview and I felt that it went really good but wouldn't hear back if I got the job until March so this whole time I was wondering if I would have the job or not and couldn't plan on well basically anything that people wanted to do for the summer. So one day I thought... what if I don't get the job what am I going to do this summer? So thats when I decided I would remodel the old pink room in the basement and make it my new bedroom :)

Well I didn't get the job... so now I'm going to have a new bedroom this summer!

Well to tell you a bit about this room and how much work it needs is that it's all pink... that even includes the pink shag carpet, well besides the stains on it. At one point in my life I remember sharing that room with Becky and Keri. Can you imagine 3 girls in one room? It also once upon a time had wall paper with pink flowers on it but a couple years ago it was easily pulled off leaving a rough glue on the walls under it.

So the hardest part about this is going to be just the wall preparation for this room sense i have to sandpaper most of the walls to get the rough texture off. Ok maybe not the hardest part... but it will definately take the longest!

Here are some before pictures... Oh and this room has been vacant sense Ben got married so it has been our play room/storage room so please don't mind all the junk in these next couple pictures!

Well I actually started on this 2 weeks before we went to California (yes i promise that will be my next post) But then I had to pick up as many shifts as possible at work so it wouldn't hurt me to now work for a week... so now that I'm back I finally got back to remodeling some more! I finished sanding one of the smaller walls and well here comes the next great part...

Putty-ing! (Ok... not even sure if thats the word haha but you get what I mean.)

So this wall had 4 of those boards going vertical not horizontal and i didn't like that so well i just ripped them off and well i'm ripping off all of those board things. So I have to putty that. Plus random holes in walls from kids haha.

Well it's a BIG project ahead of me thats for sure! But I'm excited :) It's a bigger room so it will be nice to have more space! I'm looking forward to a new bedroom this summer!

It's times like those that help me realize that even though I'm just working at a fast food restaurant that it's still an important job to someone out there!

So today is the day dedicated to love... usually for your significant other, but well I don't have one. But I'm still going to celebrate Valentine's day :) cause I love all of you! My family and my friends! Pretty sure thats all that looks at my blog... but i love you too if you aren't! So everyone I love you all for different reasons... wish i had the time to tell you all why but this will have to do for now... just that I LOVE YOU! :) because you have helped me become who I am today! <3

Why I love life...

Just to start out... i hope i don't make a tradition of this but sorry i haven't really "blogged" for awhile... I just don't seem to have much to blog about my life is so uneventful!
But i put too much thought into my blogs before i blog... so i have decided I'm not going to do that anymore (or try my hardest to!) i'm just going to write what i think and feel. So hope this isn't even worse but at least i will be blogging!

For the past while i have been really down on myself... too much down on myself. I want to change that! I love being optimistic and being positive (yes basically the same think i know i know) but somewhere along the lines of me growing up i have pushed that melissa out of me... well welcome back optimistic melissa! :D yes the other day i realized... My life is GREAT! I love it right now! Even tho... yes I got laid off from the best job and had to go back working at a fast food restuarant cause no one else called me when i applied, or that i'm not dating anyone and haven't been on a date for a really long time, or that i'm not going to school anymore, and yes i have many other reasons why i should mumble and grumble about such a horrible life.... WELL! You know what? I don't have a horrible life :) i am loving it right now! It couldn't be better! I love being a workaholic and trying to pick up as many shifts as possible where i work with people everyday with cute grandpas that come in and just could brighten your day! Hey they even want to make me a manager! Also I'm not going to school at the moment cause I need to figure that whole thing out for my life... and thats what i feel is best for me at the moment! But because of this i can work a lot and i also can go to my singles ward activites :) where i have actually gotten to meet a lot of people and i can actually go visiting teaching for my first time and have visiting teachers cause i'm not too busy :) and you know what? I LOVE IT! And i also have realized... i don't need a guy right now... i still have a lot, and i mean A LOT of growing up to do... i mean... I could pass as a 14 year old! :) but i'm ok with that you know why? Cause hopefully when i''m 40... i will look 30 :) ya thats why... cause by then my husband will be braggin about his "young" wife when really i'm not haha. Also i have amazing parents that i love... and sisters that i absolutely adore! Which did i mention that they are the best friends ever? I love my family! I don't need to start my own family yet cause i'm not done loving my family right now! Yes... this is why i love life!
