Shenanigans

Here is an update of the random shenanigans I have been up to lately....

Every thursday there is a farmers market on the street in front of my apartment building. We used to go every thursday but we haven't gone for awhile. We finally got a group together and went!

This chair was just sitting by one of the kiosks and it reminded me of a throne and it was just calling my name so of course I sat on it, and I must say it was mighty comfy too!
It isn't a proper farmer's market without a crepe :) yummm
It was so cute they put mustaches on our crepe boxes :)
I think every to go box should have a mustache on it!
Just down the street from my apartment building is the practice rink for the anaheim ducks.
My college program put together an activity for us so we got to skate there for free! It was loads of fun and reminded me of home, especially cause it was cold inside haha.
So one morning I wake up and I was in a pretty down mood, and my roommates had this amazing idea to make some colorful waffles! Then we realized that day was the day world of color opened to the public! So it was perfect we called them our world of color waffles!
And they also made brightened up my day :)
Just take a look at them, don't they look fun and delicious?
Oh ya I almost forgot, I got to see World of Color before it was open I was so stoked! These were my tickets to our show.
Oh and if you were wondering, World of Color is amazing, and when I say amazing I mean it will blow your mind away and make you fall in love with Disney all over again!!!

Ok well thats about it!
Until next time!

Sisterly fun!

My sister Keri and her husband Austin came to visit me awhile ago and I have been too busy to blog about it but hey, better late then never right?
I just picked a few of my favorite pictures that we took while they were here...
We rode lots of fun rides,
Met lots of awesome characters,
found some pirate treasure,
played around like the little kids inside us love to do,
shared lots of smiles,
even had our own mad tea party,
had some fine dinning,
and united as a team!
I really have missed my sister Keri so much and we had so much fun while they were here and sadly the 3 days flew by too fast. After I dropped them off at the airport I realized I can't live without this girl in my life!
So after lots of praying and constant not knowing what I should do, I finally know that it's right that I need to come home after my program.
It's going to be hard to leave the life I have started here and go back to little Utah, but I love it there and I miss it so much that I think I'll survive ;)

I can't believe it's almost June...

So today I looked at my phone and realized the date was May 24th, really is it almost June?

That means it's only about a month until my birthday, and about 2 and a half months until my program is over and I move back to Utah :(

Time please don't fly by anymore.

Thanks,

Love Melissa

For all the ways you've helped me grow I want to say I love you so

I love you Mom!!

My wonderful mother, and my aunt Brenda came to visit me,
and other than being with my mom for a couple days this was my highlight:

We went on a beach adventure!
My mom and aunt Brenda LOVE the beach and I had been dying to go to the beach for awhile, especially with my new camera.

It was a nice warm day and the beach was almost empty and it was so pretty! I loved it!

Here are some of my favorite shots:
(Click on the pics to enlarge)

Sailboat

Sand

Seashells

It was so good to see my mom again, I love her so much and have really missed here! The only downside about being here is that it's so far away from home.

I love you mom!!

Mac & cheese, and octopus dogs!

Lately I have been craving Mac & Cheese and thats the only thing I want to eat for dinner, lucky for me it's filling and cheap! Well Rob told me about his favorite mac & cheese which is the Kraft Deluxe kind, with a cheese sauce instead of the powder kind and he bought me some to try.
So I was making it for my dinner and decided to put some hot dogs in my mac & cheese like my dad always did when I was a kid, when Janell asked me if I was going to make some octopus dogs. This surprised me cause I have never heard of such a thing, well Janell taught me how to make them and well let me just tell you I was just giddy like a little kid to eat my mound of mac & cheese with my octopus dogs!
Best dinner ever.
P.s. don't mind my beach bum hair, this amazing event wasn't planned and I was so excited I didn't realize I just got out of the shower and looked like a wreck, hope the amazing octopus dogs make up for my bad appearance.

...

CUTEST BOY EVER.
The End.

A quick visit home...

I had a quick last minute trip home so I could say my last good byes to my wonderful Grandma Mills in case she doesn't make it until I come home. I was only home for about a day and a half but I got all I wanted done in that short amount of time.
Here are some things I have missed...
My kitty (who isn't quite a kitty anymore) Mo
The majestic mountains
Playing with my favorite kids in the world!
But I DIDN'T miss the snow...
It felt so good to go visit home and be back in Utah again, seeing all my family and friends and all the of beautiful Utah. But I was excited to get back to California back to my new life that I have started here cause I'm not done with my story here, not yet anyways.

It's the time of your life...

So recently I hit a bump in the road but thankfully I haven't let it bother me too much and I have just kept myself busy. And these past couple days I have had the time of my life full of different adventures, in Disneyland of course! Haha well this is just a quick little post to update everyone that I'm still alive down here in Cali and still having the time of my life :)
